I recently had the pleasure of becoming a Certified FirstPlay® Practitioner.

Dr. Janet Courtney, Ph.D., LCSW, RPT created a program, which incorporates massage and storytelling techniques for infants birth-toddler.

This program supports engagement between caregivers and children.  Perhaps, most importantly it is about attunement between the caregiver and child.  This attunement supports a cognitive foundation for self-regulation and future language development.
